Do you think that you have complete control over your fate? Why
Answers
Answer:
It's how fate works. You are control of your life; it is not in control of you. Fate is what will come to you in life, and free will is what you choose to do with it. You may not get what you want in life, but you will always get what you choose.
Explanation:
Do we have control over our destiny?
Fundamentally, no, we don't. We have control over small areas, but in general control is not such a great thing anyway. We have no control over large economic trends, or whether a distant star decides to explode and obliterate our particular solar system. You have no control over whether or not some random horrible accident will end your life tomorrow. So relax and enjoy yourself. And remember that the universal religious impulse of "Do unto others as you would have done to you" is a pretty good guide for how to treat the world. Also, I've learned in my nearly sixty years that pursuing one's own whims isn't nearly as good a recipe for happiness as is trying to make someone else happy, or relieving their pain, or solving their problem. If happiness is your goal, the quickest route there is to seek to be useful in the world outside yourself.
