It is the time when the birds sing on every tree; the huntsman blows his horn far away (i.e. he makes way towards hunting) and the skylark sings with him. According to the schoolboy, it is his best company and he enjoys it very much. The first stanza of the poem is all about the things which make the schoolboy happy.
