Yaa they was wise because baba was too much attached with that family ..and he is not eating anything in that zoo..and that family also was also too much attached with baba and they can't live without him

It was a wise decision seeing the situation.Both the family and Baba were too much attached with each other.Bruno didn't eat anything in the zoo more likely he couldn't .So,it was like saving two lives.
