No,this is not my opinion that the family's indifference to the seagull's plight was feigned to make the seagull muster enough courage to take his first flight.I think when the mother seagull showed as if she was bringing some food for him,and she stopped as she came closer to the seagull.The seagull could n't reach the food.He was very hungry and the sight of the food maddened him.So,in order to eat the food brought by the seagull,he flew to catch the food.First of all he was unable to balance himself but the he managed and finally he made his first flight.
