yes, the poet is happy by the choice which he had made. most of us take the same path which is already taken by many because the destination is known, we know where the path would lead us.
but the poet decided to take the another one because it is not yet discovered. no one knows where that path would lead them. he knows that there is no surety that it would lead to success, he might experience failure but instead of all these thoughts he is happy that he is going to discover new places which nobody did before or which was experienced by few.
although he was happy but there was a little feeling of regret in his heart because he cannot travel both the roads.
