Do you think the restaurant keeper was over reacting
when the narrator could not pay the bill? If so, what ac

In this story it was shown that the residents who had been living in the hilly areas as properly described here, were in extreme poverty and hence to meet their needs, their only concern was money. They were robbers, pick pocketers etc by profession. So he would not be able to pay any money to the restaurant keeper .
