Do you think the snake was conscious of the poet's presence? How do you know?

The snake was not aware about the presence of poet. As it was looking towards to him but the vision was not clear, so it did not know whether it was poet or not.

The snake was not aware of the poet's presence. If it were aware of his presence, it would have hurriedly slithered away to safety by moving towards its hole. On the contrary, it remained relaxed and calm. It drank water slowly taking proper rests. Then it moved slowly towards its hole.
