The story was initially published as "Sadgati" in Hindi, meaning simply a fine death. But the title is irony, because through Premchand 's past, Hindu culture and its prejudiced norms have largely been criticised and satirised.

Explanation:

The short story Deliverance by Premchand is an indictment of the Hindu culture, which is governed above all by the Caste system. ,The title may reflect a positive movement in the story; however, it for the protagonist it's difficult to find anything in life and its conclusion is not "transcendental."

A Brahmin 's house is where Dukhi, who reveres and fears the Brahmin, meets death. The ones he adores, though, regard him as a sinner. Pandit Ghasi Ram lives as a proud Brahmin, and even with the death of Dukhi he is not fetter. He doesn't touch Dukki's body, he doesn't feel sorry for someone dedicated to serving. The wife of Priest is the same and so are in the village other Brahmin.

Chikuri, the socio-conscious archetype, is attempting by the police to disrupt the Brahmin household. He prefers to help the tanner, but it works little. He is as struck in the vicious web of the caste system as others.   As Dukhi gets redemption from the dreaded caste system, the word Sadgati or Deliverance is justified. His tanner life was tantamount to being prison. He also had to ask for fire, and for such a frivolous matter he would be cursed.

Finally, we feel happy for Dukhi since he obtained "deliverance' from the worldly struggles, discrimination, and oppression.
