Answer:

The ancient Greeks were responsible for creating the world’s first atlas of maps. Their work inspired thousands of cartographers who dedicated their life to creating accurate world maps. Nowadays, we have several types of maps to show topology, terrain, population density, roads, sea routes, air routes etc.

However, there are several differences between the ancient maps and the modern maps. For instance, the maps of the Greeks were used mainly to establish trading routes in the sea, whereas modern age maps are used for a variety of reasons. Similarly, the old maps were relatively inaccurate and had errors due to technological limitations. However, modern maps use sophisticated technology to map the coastlines and several other features of earth.
