here's my point of view about your question....

i dont think so that the work of an archaeologist and a detective is same. Because an archaeologist is a person who searches for old things such as fossils, old dynasties etc. but the work of a detective is to search for a truth. like a person who is investigating any murder or theft case can be called a detective.
