YES, sufi saints preached the Muslims and it was practiced in a large range as the mecca medina was build there and millions of people's came their to worship Allah (divine love). And,bhakti belonged to the hindu religion which had a wide spread and it is one of the most ancient religion of the world. Swami Ram krishna paramhans preached many scholars and one of them was swami vivekanand. Several temples were built in this time and tons of people came their to practice the knowledge they were preached
