A lot, I use that almost every hour!
Here's the situation, I go to my study, same chair same table, same wallpaper, same everything, it gets so monotonous after awhile, and music - ah that goddam.n thing just fre.aks my mind out!
As to what benefits I have drawn from music in context of my concentration, well - quantity does go down but the quality is enlarged. I mean, you won't defo be able to utilize the whole of yo time, but surely the pace you take to the beat is definitely mighty enough to slacken its tiredness.
I have a playlist of prolly 500+ songs, that I play on loop (yeah, takes a day or two at times to return to a particular song):
Artists I earlier listened to were basically of the death metal, Gothic , pop, rap, rock and hardcore, at times contemporary, and very less country-side.
But recently I have switched to Christian Rock, that makes me feel and acknowledge His powers, his creations, deal with my struggles and gives me strength to face the world over and over. Most favorite song from this genre - Stained Glass Masquerade.
Peace.
