I don't use social media for business purpose but yes a lot of people do it.

For example, your social media influencers in instagram. Their posts are based on certain topics .Once people start getting famous they might start selling out their own products (for which they have to pay initially on their own) and later maybe some sponsers for other businesses and for investment on their shares.
