DOCTORS OFTEN HOLD WRIST OF THE PATIENT WHENEVER HE/SHE GOES FOR CHECKUP TO CHECK THE PULSE RATE OF THE PATIENT, WHETHER IT IS STABLE OR NOT , FAST OR SLOW .
