Answer:

it is a concave lens, because power, radius of curvature , and focal length of concave lens measured in negative form.

Explanation:

we know that,

Power = 1/f(in meters)

-0.5 = 1/f

f = -1/0.5

f = -2 m

CONCEPT -

We know that the

power of a lens ( P ) = 1 / f

where f : focal length

SOLUTION -

We know that P = -0.5D

so 1/f = -0.5

after calculation we find that,

f = -2 m ( ANSWER 1 )

using the Sign Convention Method -

SINCE f = -ve of the lens, then the lens is a Concave Lens.
