Solution :-

given that, doctor reported on duty after every 15 minutes.

So,

after 8 AM,

→ Next doctor will come on duty at = 8AM + 15 min. = 8 : 15AM.

Now, next doctor will come after 15 minutes again.

So,

→ Next doctor will come on duty at = 8:15 + 15min = 8 : 30AM .

again, next doctor will come after 15 minutes again.

So,

→ Next doctor will come on duty at = 8:30 + 15min = 8 : 45AM .

and, next doctor will come after 15 minutes again.

So,

→ Next doctor will come on duty at = 8:45 + 15min = 9AM .

Now, given time is 5 minutes past 9AM , which is equal to = 9 : 05 AM.

→ Till 9:05 AM , doctors joins after 8AM = 1(8:15) + 1(8:30) + 1(8:45) + 1(9AM) = 4 .
