SOMETHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Sum of 2 sides of a triangle is always equal or greater than the third side of a triangle.

  • If the square of 2 sides of a triangle is equal to the third side, then it is a right angled triangle.

Given lengths include 7cm, 8cm and 9 cm

Let

  • AB = 7 cm
  • BC = 8 cm
  • CA = 9 cm

Now,

  • AB² = 7² cm = 49 cm
  • BC² = 8² cm = 64 cm
  • CA² = 9² cm = 81 cm

The sum of 2 smaller sides (AB and BC) is not equal to CA

Hence, it is not a right angled triangle.
