Purple is not a spectral colour and does not lie in the spectrum like few other colours (eg. Brown) since purple is c closer closer colour variant to violet,we can consider violet to explain the situation. VIBGYOR , we see Violet has the shortest wavelength of all and the slowest speed in medium like glass of prism. Since its itself contributes uniquly towards spectum it's futher not dispersed.
