Ans:- No .when a perpendicular is drawn on a line ,it does not bisect it .Perpendicular means a line drawn at 90°

no a perpendicular cannot simply divide the line into two equal halves

first of all you should be clear that perpendicular means a straight line which is making 90° with another line if you simply cut a line or place a line over other such that they are making 90° between it it will be perpendicular.

if you wanna use perpendicular which divides a segment into two equal halves.
it is said perpendicular bisector.
