no, a person has not to be engaged in religious practices, it's own belief on god is sufficient. This is because a good person doesn't have faith on god to show someone. He/she is worshipping god to impress him not to show someone. He/she will release his/her tension to god for his/her own peace but if he show-off in doing religious practices then he/she will never get peace.
