Does a wood sink in water besing a solid? If sinks then why? If not sinks then why? ​

Explanation:

it does not sink.. even though it's a solid it is less dense than water..

so, due to density difference it doesnt sink.. so this sinking and floating is based on the density and weight of a object..

like stone sinks but wood floats
