There is no absolute state of rest or motion we always see or intercept something in motion or rest with respect to some object or ourselves for eg if u see a pen on Ur table for u it is in rest but for someone in the ISS who is seeing earth orbiting you and Ur pen both are in motion so there is no absolute state of rest or motion
