Antonio rejects to take Shylock's property. He says Shylock that if he turn himself into a jew he will get no punishment and Antonio also says him to write on a paper that after his death all his property will go to his son-in-law Lorenzo. This tells us that Antonio is not a greedy person and cares for his friends even more than his wealth and life. Whoever Shylock leaves the court saying that he is not felling good and says that he will give all his wealth to Lorenzo after his death. Antonio asks the Duke to give no punishment to Shylock to which the Duke agrees. Antonio though having enemity against Shylock still he saves him from getting punishment for that bond he made.
