Yes friction occurs in fluid.

Let us take an exmaple:

Take a glass of water and stir it. we may observe water whirls around an axis. We may observe that whrling speed of water gradually decreased and after some time it stops..

The frictional forces between the liquid layers and between the liquid surfaces taht in contact with glass surface are responsible for stoppinh the rotation of water..

The frictional force exerted by fluids is called drag.......

THANK YOU ☺

Yes, there is friction in fluids.

Air, water, oil etc. are fluids. When an object moves through these media, friction acts on the object in the opposite direction of its motion.

The amount of friction that acts on the object depends on the viscosity o the medium. For example, air is less viscous than water. So air has less friction than water. That's why it is easier to walk on land(where you are walking through air) than in a swimming pool(where you walk through water).

Friction which acts in water or oil is called viscous force.
The liquids which are more sticky offer higher viscous force. You might have observed that mustard oil is sticky. It has more viscosity than water.
