let, 0.87 = a and 0.13= b
now,
a^3 + b^3 / a^2 +b^2 -ab
= (a+b)(a^2 + b^2 - ab) / a^2 + b^2 -ab
= a+b
= 0.87+0.13
= 1
therefore it is verified that LHS= RHS
