Does anyone find the next number 2, 6, 22, 58, 122,?

This is not a regular set of patterned number

If we check the difference of each term we get,

6 - 2 = 4 = 4 × 1

22 - 6 = 16 = 4 × 4

58 - 22 = 36 = 4 × 9

122 - 58 = 64 = 4 × 16

See a pattern...... They are square numbers......also they have difference of 3, 5, 7,......

do next could be 4 × 5² or 4 × (16 + 9)

both are the same because square numbers have the difference of positive odd natural numbers.

4 × 25 = 100

so the next difference is 100

so coming back to the pattern

2, 6, 22, 58, 122, (122 + 100) = 2, 6, 22, 58, 122, 222,....and so on
