Does anyone have suggestions for an egg drop project? I'm struggling to figure out what to do and it is due December 9th. Will someone please help me?

Well, for starters you can take the following tips into consideration:

  • Gentle Touch Down - Using balloons for a soft touch down is a smart idea. You can even fill a balloon with glass craft gems, which helps guide the contraption down to the ground.
  • Peanut Butter Jar Success - If you aren't allowed to use parachutes, balloons, bubble wrap, or Styrofoam, you can just line the inside of an empty peanut butter jar with foam squares and placed the egg inside. Then, you can suspended the jar in a box using rubber bands.
  • Balloon Bomb - Using hallowed out floral foam and balloons, your egg is sure to be safe. The foam helps protect the eggs, while the balloons give the package some air resistance.
  • Creativity Counts - When it comes to protecting the egg, you’ve got to be creative. Use things you have around the house to cushion the fall! Make a parachute or balloon from a trash bag to help soften the blow.
  • Epic Fails and Epic Wins - Looking for some creative ideas to help your child’s egg drop challenge to be a success? Check out these ideas—some worked (like placing an egg in a toilet paper roll with the tube taken out); some, unfortunately, did not (like placing an egg in a bag full of marshmallows). You win some, you lose some.

Hope it helps :)
