y = K/x
K = proportionality constant
When y = 7, x = 9
7 = K/9
K = 63
When, x = 21,
y = K/x = 63/21
= 3
Hope it may help you !!!!!

molbolognese: what is the equation that connects them
Ayushasutkar1: xy = 63

Heya mate,

Here is your answer,. ⬇️⬇️

 {ANSWER :-}

_________

 <i> Here, y is inversely proportional to x.

So, y = k * 1/x, where k is a variable.

(i) Again, when, y = 7 and x = 9,

We have, 7 = k * 1/9.
Or, k = 63.

Thus, the equation that connects them is, xy = 63 (value of k)

(ii) Now, when x = 21,

We have, y = 1/21 * 63 = 3.
