Does basic lavas comes out of volcano explosively ?

Where there is an open avenue for the lava to flow out of at the surface, it does so. If there isn’t, and the volcanic throat is blocked by perhaps the solidified lava from a prior eruption, the heat and pressure of the fresh lava against the “lava plug” will build until it either moves the plug (causing a large volcanic explosive eruption) or goes around the plug (such as opening a new fissure) for the lava to escape.
