The adiabatic relation is P=KργP=Kργ.

For ideal monotomic gas γγ is 5/3. For nonrelativistic degenerate electron(inside white dwarf), γγ is also 5/3.

The adiabatic relation is .

p \: \: = \: \: kp \: \: \gamma

For ideal monotomic gas is 5/3. For nonrelativistic degenerate electron(inside white dwarf), is also 5/3.
Is this just an coincidence? Is the constant
K is different in the two situations?
