Does densities vary with temperature. If yes, then explain the changes taking place in the density of solids, liquids and gases with increase in temperature.

Answer:

as we increase the temperature the molecules gain heat energy which later gets converted into kinetic energy.

this results in in an increase in speed of molecules

after that the molecules start separating from each other.

that's how density changes with temperature.

in real life we have also experienced it:-

considering solid as the the state of matter with highest density heat it constantly.

after sometime solid will turn into liquid which have relatively lower density.

and at the end that liquid will turn into gas having least density.
