does electron flow from high potential to low potential or from low to high potential?

is it true that if it flows from negative to positive terminal it has to flow from low potential to high potential?

They flow from the electric field's lower potential to higher potential. In terms of their own potential, they flow from high to low. Their potential is opposite of that of the electric field, thus we say they have a negative charge. ... Hence, electrons move from low potential to high potential.
