In short, GDP does not directly measure those things that make life worthwhile, but it does measure our ability to obtain many of the inputs into a worthwhile life. GDP is not, however, a perfect measure of well-being. Some things that contribute to a good life are left out of GDP. One is leisure....!!!!

No it doesn't as it does not tell the income of per person. I will explain you with an example let us suppose a country of 100 people where 10 people make 100dollar per day but the rest 90 earn only 10 dollar but on the other hand in other country 100 people earn 30 dollar per day. so the GDP may be high of the first one but it is not fulfilling need of all but the other one is constant.
