The heat sensitive fibers are indeed thermosetting.

  • A thermoset is hardened when the heat recovers it, and thus it acts as a thermosetting agent. To high-temperature applications a thermoset is best suited.
  • A thermoset is made from polymers, and has a high mechanical strength. When cured by the heat, a thermoset can not be reshaped and thus makes it highly resistant.
