magnifying power of a compound microscope is given by, M=-\frac{L}{f_0}\left(1+\frac{D}{f_e}\right)

where L = length of telescope.

f_0 = focal length of objective lens

f_e = focal length of eye lens.

here it is clearly shown that magnifying power is independent from wavelength of incident light.
