No in science maybe not. But if you talk about the chemical names and the scientific names then your marks will be deducted for sure. But for grammar mistakes they won't deduct your marks because it isn't literature :)

But it would be better if you try to avoid mistakes, any mistakes maybe grammar or of any spelling.
