The gas molecules are indeed affected by the gravity!!

The earth's atmosphere is the proof. It's the earth's gravity that is holding our atmosphere made of gases. You can also infer it from the fact that as you go up from the earth's surface, the amount of oxygen decreases and that of nitrogen increases because oxygen being heavier than nitrogen experiences more gravity and is found in abundance near earth's surface but is scarce as we move up. That is why while climbing high mountains mountaineers carry oxygen cylinder with them.
