Does osmosis occur in dead cells. And why not​

Hey mate ....

Osmosis doesn't occur in dead cell because cells are dead and they are not able in doing transportation .

why?

The process of osmosis requires a membrane for the exchange of solution.

when the cell dies the Membrane too dies thus not able to perform osmosis.
