Does our eyes breathe but why do they breathe


Phillipe: our eyes dont breathe they just take in oxygen, according to medical defination question is incorrect

yes,because as the oxygen levels are low they would keep breathing.

However, the amount of diffused oxygen is so less that it is just enough for only the cornea cells. This can't be supplied to other parts of the body. And this is exactly the reason you would get yourself killed if you plug yournose and your mouth, expectingyour eye would keep you alive bybreathing in oxygen.
