Does photosynthesis take place in animal cells? Why plastids are necessary for photosynthesis?

NO photosynthesis does not take place in animal cells. because animals have the ability to move and find food. Plastids are necessary for photosynthesis because chloroplst, which is a plastid which has chlorophyll in it (which helps in photosynthesis), is present in it.
