There are some plants that do perform photosynthetic metabolism 24hrs a day. They are CAM plants (Crassulacean Acid Metabolism). Some plant s like Kalachoe are obligate CAM, others are facultative CAM and only resort to it if water is short.
In a sense photosynthesis even in ordinary plants is a 24h job because most plants spend the night-time repairing and making new photosynthetic apparatus because during the day the chloroplasts are photodamaged
