the chances of the 8 planets and Pluto coming together in a exact straight line will never happen. This is because their orbits are tilted at different angles and are not perfectly aligned with the sun’s position. However, if they ever did happen to align in a straight line, nothing would happen to Earth. There won't be any sort of catastrophic supervolcanoe eruptioms or mega tsunamis hitting the skyscrapers of Manhattan like conspiracy theorists claim. This is because the Solar System is huge. The distance between each planet is so far that any alignment of Earth with another planet will do nothing. The gravitational pull by a planet on another planet is negligible. Mars at its closest to Earth is 54.6 million km apart. If that's hard for you to digest, we fit approximately 13 million Jeeps between the distance between Mars and Earth (at its closest).
The last time all 8 planets were in the same sky was approximately around AD 949. This won't happen again after another 475 years from now. Unfortunately, everyone reading this will be dead by that time.
