Does Potassium dicromate react with alkenes ??

Alkanes are too inert to be oxidised without some kind of transition metal catalyst so you definitely won't get any reaction with an alkane. I don't think the alkene will react either as potassium dichromate isn't strong enough but it will react with acidified potassium manganate which is a stronger oxidising agent
