The big bang demonstrates the second law of thermodynamics to be generally true (in principle) since after the bang happened the universe becomes higher in entropy. However the correct question to ask, is, was there a second law violation before the big bang occurred (important distinction) in order for the state of the universe before the big bang, to be in a low entropy state.
