The way she fought against gender discrimination was incredible. When she was doing PhD and planning to continue further in abroad, one day she saw an advertisement in newspaper published by telco company offering jobs to young people. At the bottom of the newspaper she found that the advertisement clearly states women need not apply for it. she became furious after going through it and wrote a letter to JRD regarding this and got a call letter from telco company to attend an interview of that company from pune. She answered everything confidently and got selected thereby becoming the first indian woman to become an employee on the telco shop floor, been appreciated by the JRD. She became the pioneer for the women working on shop floors.
