Does the associative property for division hold for rational numbers? Justify your answer with the help of an example using the rational numbers 1/5, 1/12 , 1/15.​

As per question, we can say

(1/5÷1/12)÷1\15 = 1/5÷(1/12 ÷1/15)

12/5÷1/15 =1/5÷(15/12)

This implies , 12/5×15 = 36=LHS

ALSO, 15/12×5=25/12

LHS not equal to Rhs

hence,

No , associative property doesn't hold good for division of rational numbers.
