Explanation:

As length and area of cross section is directly proportional to the resistance therefore when it is changed resistance is also changed. Resistance is indirectly proportional to the current therefore when resistance changes current flowing through the conductor also changes.

Therefore when area of cross section and length of the material changes current also changes.
