Does the epiglottis move during inhalation? If yes, what position does it adapt? (for example, vertical, horizontal etc.)

During inhalation the air goes inside so the flap or epiglottis is opened into vertical side to let the air through so it opens it to trachea and blocks the digestive system by being vertical.
