Does the following linear system have a unique solution? 2x + 3y = 9 -4x - 6y = 2

No ,because if we multiply first equation by 2. 4x+6y=18 and add this to second equation then you will get 0=20 which is not possible. for unique solution x and y should have unique value which satisfy both equation
