no, the jellyfish don't produce current but they have special cells which can penetrate human skin.

Jellyfish can’t produce electricity but when their tentacles touch human skin ,they secrete poison which gives out a shocking sensation (for example box jelly fish) only few types of jelly fish are poisonous and they glow because they absorb light and goes deep inside the ocean where there is no light and glows ,it doesn’t use electricity. It glows as a sign to warn enemy predators
